MATTHEW & AMBER RUNYON
WV/WMD DISTRICT YOUTH President

Matthew Runyon received the Holy Ghost and was baptized at the age of eight. He received his calling to the ministry at age 16. He met his wonderful wife, Amber, at BOTT in 2008, and they were married later that year. They have three beautiful children: Anna, Naomi, and Caleb.

Since feeling the call to preach, Matthew has pursued ministry by all means possible. He has helped in his local church, participated in door-knocking, drove church vans, organized block parties, taught Bible studies, preached in a nursing home ministry, and preached at a men’s shelter in the community. He was also a Bible Quizzer, coach, and for the past four seasons, served as the WV/WMD Senior Bible Quizzing Coordinator.

Matthew received Local License in 2008, General License in 2013, and was Ordination in 2017. He served as the Section 5 Youth Representative from 2013 to 2017. He also served as Youth Secretary from 2017 to 2021. He and Amber are proud to be currently serving at Hometown Apostolic Church where they strongly desire to see revival in the Kanawha Valley! Matthew Runyon is excited to serve our young people as WV/WMD Youth President!
