Packing List for Youth Camp 2012
What to Bring:

  • Bible
  • Casual clothing for daytime (perhaps a few extra changes of clothing for mishaps or for different sport activities, i.e. sports pants, extra tee shirts, etc.)
  • Business casual clothing for night services (for Monday-Wednesday/Thursday is dress-up night)
  • Towels and washcloths
  • Bathing suit, beach towel(s) (one piece swimsuits only please)
  • Sheets, blanket, sleeping bag, pillow
  • Hoodie or sweatshirt (in case A/C is too cold)
  • Toiletries/Sunblock /Shower shoes
  • A fishing pole and a small tackle box if you plan to fish for the catch-and-release pond (limited amounts of tackle and live bait are available at the camp store).
  • Extra money for concessions or fishing tackle
  • Softball glove
  • Camping Canvas Chair (s)
  • Luggage: please limit yourself to ONE suitcase, duffle bag or garment bag for the cabins…space is somewhat limited for storage.
  • Girls Only: if you plan on doing the zip line activity, please bring “tights/leggings” to wear under your skirt/dress outfit. If you plan on swimming, please bring a modest robe/cover up to wear to and from the swimming pool since there is not changing room at the pool.
  • Girls--bring an extra handheld mirror as mirror space is limited in the cottage bathrooms.
  • Boys Only: Please bring an extra pair of sweatpants to wear over your swim shorts. There is no changing room at the pool.

What Not To Bring:

  • No personal paintball guns, pistols, rifles or weapons are to be brought on to the Rippling Waters Campground (strictly enforced)!
  • To ensure the safety of your personal electronic devices please leave laptops, iPads, and expensive technological equipment at home. The WV District is not responsible for damaged, stolen or lost technological equipment.
